Beasts of No Nation Trailer
Idris Elba seems perfect as an African warlord in Beasts of No Nation, from True Detective Season 1 director Cary Fukunaga, based on the novel by Uzodinma Iweala. The project went way over budget (among other disasters), and then Netflix paid $12 million to distribute it, so clearly they have high hopes.
It follows Agu, a child soldier in an unnamed African country (and probably doesn’t need much more explaining than that) and it looks like it was worth every tropical disease and parasite Cary Fukunaga contracted in Ghana.
