Patience Paul disappeared last year August when she was 14 years old and
has been in custody of the Hisbah (Sharia Police) who in a phone
conversation told her family recently that they had married her out to a
man who has taken her to Bauchi with the authority of Sarkin Muslumi
(the Sultan).
The family of the missing teenager went to the press after the case of
Ese Oruru, the Beyelsa girl abducted to Kano by Yunusa, went viral on
social media. One of her family member said that the governor had asked
for their presence as investigation commences.
