LASTMA Official Slumps on Traffic Duty (Photos)

An official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on Saturday slumped while controlling traffic in the Idi Araba area of Lagos.

Incident happened at about 1:30pm along Ishaga Road and the heavy traffic was allegedly caused by an event at the Chapel of the Healing Cross, Idi-Araba.

The official, whose identity could not be ascertained, was busy with the heavy traffic situation under the scorching sun, when he fell down and began to gasp for breath. His colleagues and bystanders
rushed to pull him off the road and made frantic efforts to resuscitate him. Some of the LASTMA officials were seen pounding his chest, while others poured water on him, Punch reports.

But when his colleagues realised that he was not responding to the first aid, they took him into their vehicle and drove off.
