A Father Finds His Daughter Being Molested And Beats The Attacker To Death, Should Charges Be Filed?

Eye for an eye may not be the best way to serve justice in the eyes of the law, but how would you feel if you caught a crime in action involving your daughter?

A rancher in Texas was faced with this decision when he found his 5-year-old daughter being raped in an abandoned shed on a nearby property. In the heat of the moment this desperate father beat the alleged molester to death by accident and then called 911.

What would you do in this situation?

The grand jury decided that this was just and that no charges would be filed in this sad case of murder and child molestation. The haunting 911 call has been released in the video. He was able to find his daughter because a neighbor saw the perpetrator carrying her to an isolated location and he followed her screams. Can you imagine the fear and adrenaline that was running through his body at this very moment knowing his daughter was being injured?

This is a parent's absolute worse nightmare and most people say they would have done the same exact thing. In this press release, District Attorney Heather Mclinn told reporters, "Under the law in the state of Texas, deadly force is authorized and justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault or sexual assault. All the evidence provided by the sheriff's department and the Texas Rangers indicated that's what was occurring when the victim's father arrived at the scene." An interview with the alleged and now deceased rapists neighbor was conducted for this news report and he agreed with the ruling.

What are your feelings on this story? Was justice served?
