Dr Dre’s Album Sales Plummets Following Public Apology For Abusing Women In The Past

Just a day after Dr. Dre publicly apologized for abusing women in his past following the success of his biopic, Straight Outta Compton, his record sales has plummeted. The second week sales numbers for his highly anticipated new album ‘Compton’ dropped 84%..

According to Hits Daily Double ‘Compton’ only sold 42,732 copies this week down from 286,000 copies in its first week. Compton is Dre’s first album in 15 years.

Dr. Dre said: “Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I’ve been married for 19 years and every day I’m working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I’m doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again.”

He added: “I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”
