Police Now Chasing Man Who Shot Two Reporters On Live TV


A TV reporter and photographer were shot and killed during their 6:45 AM live report from a waterfront shopping plaza outside Roanoke, Virginia earlier today.

The incident which was captured by the now deceased photographer, showed the gunman opening fire as he walked toward the reporter, 24-year-old Alison Parker and the 27-year-old photographer for WDBJ, Adam Ward. Before Adam died however, his camera captured an image of the shooter.

The gunman escaped the scene but according to new reports by TMZ, the suspect in the shooting is currently being chased by law enforcement on the I-81 highway in Virginia.

Vicki Gardner, the woman Alison was interviewing, was shot in the back and is currently in surgery right now.

Alison was engaged to Chris Hurst, a co-anchor at the station, and Adam was engaged to a producer named Melissa Ott. She was actually producing the newscast at the time of the shooting, and it was her last day at the station.
