Sexy 24 Year Old Gym Teacher Charged with 30 counts of Statutory Rape For Having Sex With 16 Year old Student

A former basketball coach and gym teacher at a Catholic New York City high school faces statutory rape charges for her alleged sex abuse of a male student.

Authorities charge she had sex with the student on numerous occasions, and at least 2 times per week. She's also charged with four counts of a “criminal sexual act”, because of mutual oral sex that she and the boy allegedly engaged in. 

Mahoney's allegedly had regular sexual contact with the same 16 year-old student over a period of more than two months, which began in October 2013.

At the Staten Island high school, Mahoney taught gym and was an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. Since her arrest she's yielded to leave Moore Catholic High School and her job.

The victim said in an article that the illicit relationship began shortly after Mahoney allegedly approached him in the gym and offered to coach him in basketball. 

Richard Postiglione, the school's athletic director, was also investigated for allegedly failing to report sex abuse accusations against Mahoney and another female teacher at the school.

Before she was a coach, Mahoney was a student athlete, playing basketball for Fordham University and Wagner College.
