Angry Residents Catch, Disarm Armed Robbers & Beat Them Mercilessly

 Frustrated by incessant robbery attacks on the streets of Oduobi crescent, Owerri, the Imo State capital, residents of the area on Friday decided to stop being afraid and challenged a gang of armed robbers who invaded the business environment in broad day light.

According to an eyewitness, after the robbers had operated in the business crescent, angry residents who were mostly youths gave the four-man gang a chase of their lives.
The eyewitness said, "The robbers saw that the residents were not intimidated by their guns, they began to run. The people ran after them because they were determined to get them.

“Three of them escaped, but people got one of them while he was trying to scale through the fence. We wanted to call the police but an angry mob took him away to where I don't know."
